Memory Hare

This is an opportunity to make a unique tribute to a loved one as part of the Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 art trail.

Our Memory Hare offers a chance for you to remember someone special by having their name added to a unique hare sculpture that will be included in our Suffolk art trail next year.

A large stargazer hare will be decorated with a specially commissioned design featuring 500 stars. Each star will be filled with a hand-painted name.

DEDICATIONS WILL BE OPENING SOON!

Journey Well

The special design for our Memory Hare is titled ‘Journey Well’. It has been lovingly designed to allow your loved one’s names to be delicately hand-painted as a unique way to remember them, forever.

Taking inspiration from the stars – known for being a beacon of hope and shining light – our Memory Hare gives you the opportunity to celebrate and remember those who are always loved but not forgotten.

“The Memory Hare is a brilliant idea, and it’s a honour to paint the first one of its kind. It’s a very special project to me, and I believe it will have an incredible impact as a thoughtful and creative way to remember a loved one.

“I can never thank the hospice enough for the care they provided, not just for my Dad, but for myself as well. My family has another hospice connection, with my Mum volunteering on the Inpatient Unit – which she really loves.”

– Jo Burrows, artist
‘Journey Well’

“We’re delighted to sponsor the St Elizabeth Hospice ‘Hop To It!’ art trail and to unveil the Memory Hare as part of this fantastic initiative.

“At the East of England Co-op, we’re committed to supporting causes that bring communities together and make a lasting impact. The Memory Hare holds a special meaning, serving as a tribute to cherished memories and loved ones. Members of the public who have suffered from loss will have the opportunity to donate to have a star dedicated to their loved ones painted onto the hare, creating a lasting tribute in the heart of our community.”
